TRANSFUSIÓN EN CUIDADOS PALIATIVOS: REVISIÓN SISTEMÁTICA DE LA LITERATURA

La transfusión de sangre es una técnica habitual en los pacientes en cuidados paliativos. Usada frecuentemente para los síntomas derivados de la anemia, en ocasiones los pacientes son sometidos a un ritmo transfusional elevado, lo que puede ocasionar perjuicio en su calidad de vida. Por ello es importante establecer unas pautas orientativas en las indicaciones de transfusión e individualizarlas para un uso óptimo de esta técnica.
