BODY PACKER: A PROPÓSITO DE UN CASO

Body packer es el término empleado para definir el transporte de drogas o sustancias ilegales en el interior del organismo. Además de ser un problema clínico, tiene repercusión médico-legal. Este cuadro puede manifestarse de 3 formas distintas: asintomático, oclusión intestinal e intoxicación grave. Se expone un caso de body packer asintomático (manifestación más frecuente) en el que se realizó tratamiento conservador. El presente artículo pretende revisar el manejo de esta patología que puede ser valorada, cada vez con mayor frecuencia, en los servicios de urgencias.
