Resumen

La displasia de cadera es una enfermedad invalidante para pacientes en general jóvenes, que puede precisar de tratamiento quirúrgico mediante técnicas de sustitución protésica. En la implantación de estas prótesis, hay que tener en cuenta las particularidades anatómicas de esta enfermedad y el tipo de paciente que nos encontramos, por lo que la dificultad técnica es mayor y los implantes son diferentes a los que usamos habitualmente. Además, hay que tener en cuenta que con bastante frecuencia tendremos que realizar gestos quirúrgicos asociados.
