HEPATOTOXICIDAD POR FÁRMACOS. A PROPÓSITO DE UN CASO DE HEPATITIS AGUDA

Tencial reversibilidad si se detecta la etiología tóxica de forma precoz, pues más allá de la suspensión inmediata del agente, salvo en casos concretos, no existe un tratamiento dirigido.
La ausencia de pruebas diagnósticas específicas y un diagnóstico diferencial a menudo complejo, hacen que sea clave mantener un alto índice de sospecha para llevar a cabo un diagnóstico preciso y temprano de la potencial hepatotoxicidad.
Presentamos un caso clínico de un joven diagnosticado de hepatitis aguda tras iniciar la toma de ácido valproico en los meses previos.
