El coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, causante de la enfermedad COVID-19, se declaró pandemia en marzo de 2020 y plantea un desafío médico global. La enfermedad sigue un curso que puede incluir una fase asintomática, síntomas respiratorios y, en casos graves, una "tormenta de citoquinas" que puede llevar a complicaciones como distrés respiratorio y coagulopatías. Dado el limitado conocimiento y la heterogeneidad en los tratamientos, es crucial analizar las características de los pacientes afectados, especialmente los casos graves, para establecer mejores prácticas. Este estudio busca evaluar los pacientes ingresados con sospecha de COVID-19 en un hospital y comparar características entre positivos y negativos.
