CARACTERÍSTICAS Y RESULTADOS DE PACIENTES CON COVID-19 INGRESADOS EN EL PRIMER BROTE DE 2020 EN LA UCI DEL HOSPITAL OBISPO POLANCO DE TERUEL

El estudio analiza las características y resultados de 21 pacientes ingresados por COVID-19 en la UCI del Hospital Obispo Polanco de Teruel durante el primer brote de 2020. La mayoría eran hombres mayores con factores de riesgo como hipertensión e índice de masa corporal elevado. Un 76% presentó síndrome de distrés respiratorio agudo y el 81% requirió ventilación mecánica invasiva. Las complicaciones más comunes incluyeron infecciones nosocomiales y colonización por Candida albicans. La mortalidad fue del 43%, coincidiendo con cifras de casos graves en otras series publicadas.
